Find your voice.
Co-create your way in.
Grow where you’re seen.
At Kasvuhuoneilmiö, you don’t just apply for jobs — you show what you can do in real collaboration. Many hiring processes look at what you say on a CV, but we focus on what you do in action, working together on challenges that matter.

Imagine that you step into a room where the pace deliberately slows down. Instead of rushing to solutions, you spend time understanding what actually sits beneath the challenge.
You are doing it together with others who bring very different skills, cultures and perspectives. The work is collaborative by design: ideas evolve through dialogue, friction and shared effort, not competition.
Over the process, you don’t just contribute to something that aims to last, you also sharpen how you think, work in teams, and navigate complexity. Collaboration becomes a new way of seeing problems and people differently.
By the end of the program, you’ve grown something real with others, and in doing so, made yourself a stronger, more credible candidate for future work.
And for the most of the participants, that’s only the beginning.*
* 67% of participants in previous programs have moved on to jobs, work trials with a real company, entrepreneurship or studies.
Real challenges, collaboration & growth.
At Kasvuhuoneilmiö you will:

Engage with real challenges
Participants work directly on problems that partner organisations bring — not simulations or case studies. This puts your skills to the test in live settings where your contributions matter.

Grow through mutual exploration
Our space is designed so that your strengths emerge through collaboration and dialogue rather than performance-focused interviews. You’ll work with peers, mentors and company representatives in an open and supportive environment.

Let your work speak
Instead of cover letters and CVs, we ask you to bring curiosity, motivations and willingness to show up. Your work, ideas, insights and collaboration become the signal that helps employers see you.

How It Works (Step-by-Step)
Check Your Fit
Whether you’re between jobs, exploring new directions, or looking for a better way into the Finnish job market. Kasvuhuoneilmiö is designed for highly educated jobseekers ready to grow through real collaboration. You need to be unemployed and residing in Tampere.
A “simple” form, no CV needed
Tell us about your experience, interests, and what motivates you. You don’t need a résumé — just curiosity and readiness to collaborate. And motivation to make a difference. The form is rather lengthy, though, bear with us.
Meet companies and choose a challenge
At the kickoff event you’ll hear directly from company representatives about the challenges they care about and get matched with a team that feels right for you.
Solve problems togerher
Over the programme, you’ll work with your team to co-develop practical solutions, supported by facilitators and mentors. You’ll reflect, refine and learn as part of an inclusive, respectful process.
Show your work, open new doors
At the final showcase you’ll present what you’ve grown. Some participants leave with new opportunities — internships, project work, collaborations or even roles — while others walk away with clarity, confidence and experience they couldn’t have gained otherwise.
FAQ
Does this lead to a job?
Kasvuhuoneilmiö doesn’t guarantee a job — but it’s built to bring you closer.
You’ll meet real employers, work on real business challenges, and showcase your skills through collaboration. Many participants build lasting professional connections, and some move on to internships, freelance work, or paid roles as a result.
Do I get paid for participating?
The program is unpaid but completely free for participants. You’ll take part in a professional innovation process and employment workshops that would normally cost €800–€3 000 elsewhere.
Instead of financial compensation, you gain hands-on experience, personalised feedback, visibility among employers, and potential access to job opportunities or work trials. Many participants continue collaborating with their challenge company after the program.
Are the challenge partners expecting us to do free work?
No — the Kasvuhuoneilmiö process is designed to be fair for both participants and partner organisations. The ideas and concepts developed during the challenge remain the intellectual property (IP) of the team until the partner decides to continue developing them and provides appropriate compensation to the team.
This also means that individual participants can’t separately use or commercialise the team’s shared work without collective agreement.
What kind of support is available during the program?
You’ll be supported by mentors, company representatives, and program facilitators throughout the process. From team coaching to expert insights, the environment is collaborative, respectful, and designed to help you grow — not compete.
Can I join remotely? / Where does this take place?
Currently, the program is based in Tampere, and physical meetups happen locally.

A few words from the facilitators
What really makes Kasvuhuoneilmiö valuable for participants?
