Real challenges, collaboration & growth.

At Kasvuhuoneilmiö you will:

Does this lead to a job?

Kasvuhuoneilmiö doesn’t guarantee a job — but it’s built to bring you closer.

You’ll meet real employers, work on real business challenges, and showcase your skills through collaboration. Many participants build lasting professional connections, and some move on to internships, freelance work, or paid roles as a result.

Do I get paid for participating?

The program is unpaid but completely free for participants. You’ll take part in a professional innovation process and employment workshops that would normally cost €800–€3 000 elsewhere.

Instead of financial compensation, you gain hands-on experience, personalised feedback, visibility among employers, and potential access to job opportunities or work trials. Many participants continue collaborating with their challenge company after the program.

Are the challenge partners expecting us to do free work?

No — the Kasvuhuoneilmiö process is designed to be fair for both participants and partner organisations. The ideas and concepts developed during the challenge remain the intellectual property (IP) of the team until the partner decides to continue developing them and provides appropriate compensation to the team.

This also means that individual participants can’t separately use or commercialise the team’s shared work without collective agreement.

What kind of support is available during the program?

You’ll be supported by mentors, company representatives, and program facilitators throughout the process. From team coaching to expert insights, the environment is collaborative, respectful, and designed to help you grow — not compete.

Can I join remotely? / Where does this take place?

Currently, the program is based in Tampere, and physical meetups happen locally.

Kasvuhuoneilmiö offers time and space to slow down and look deeper: to understand what really sits beneath the challenges you work on. You’ll do this with a diverse group of skilled people, growing ideas through collaboration.

By working on real projects with local organisations, you gain insight into Finnish working life while showing, in practice, how you think and contribute. What you build together is meant to last — and along the way, you strengthen the skills, confidence and credibility that support your next steps.

You won’t do this alone. The Kasvuhuoneilmiö team and your challenge group are there to support the work, the learning and the growth.
